Sweet and Healthy Dark Chocolate or Carob Chip Cookie


Dry Ingredients

  • 1 ½ Cups Sweet and Healthy Decadent Dough Mix
  • ¾ Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ¾ Teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
  • 1 Cup Of Date, Coconut or Maple Sugar or Natural Sweetener from SweetAndHealthyBlends.com
  • 1 Cup Dark Or Carob Chips
  • ¾ Teaspoon Cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 Large Egg
  • ½ Cup Melted Coconut Oil Or Softened Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Tablespoons Vanilla Almond Milk, Buttermilk Or Whole Milk
  • Optional- To add a delightful mint twist add ¼ to ½ teaspoon of pure mint extract!! For a energy boost add 2 tablespoons of coffee of your choice


  • In food processor, pulse dry ingredients or hand mix well except the dark chocolate or carob chips. 
  • Separately combine wet ingredients, pour into food processor and pulse.
  • Fold in chips. 
  • Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. After 10 minutes, preheat oven to 340ºF
  • Remove dough from refrigerator, form into desired cookie size and place on parchment paper or greased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly.
  • Press a few extra chips on top of cookie. 
  • Bake at 340ºF for 9-11 minutes or until golden. 
  • Cool for 5-10 minutes, then transfer to cooling rack.

Air Fryer

  • Air Fry at 325ºF for 5 minutes or until done.
  • Cool for 5-10 minutes and transfer to wire cooling rack.

For vegan cookies… Substitute appropriate amounts applesauce, flax seed, or mashed banana for eggs

BARS – Simply pour dough into a silicone bar form and add a few chocolate or carob chips, on top. Drizzle with the melted dark chocolate. Bake at the above directions until done. Enjoy your energy/fiber/protein boost with a professional baked taste!
